Orchid Interview
Orchid: The early years. Tell us how this music trip started.
Theo and I (Mark Thomas Baker : Guitar) have collaborated on music off and on since the mid-90s. Sometime in 2006 we started talking about playing music together again. After a year or so of searching for the right guys, we met Nickel. Shortly thereafter we auditioned Carter and the four of us have been playing this music since 2007. It’s had many ups and downs, but I know we’re all proud that we’ve stuck together through the good times and bad.

Straight from the weird beyond, Fuzztastic Planet Festival returns for the third time around to planet Earth to shake you with its grooves, to carry you away in a psychedelic haze, to travel you back in time, in the 60s and 70s. It comes to fill your summer with all the fuzz you can handle!
Our starship’s pilots are three top ambassadors of the modern heavy psych scene, Samsara Blues Experiment from Germany, Elder from USA and Black Rainbows from Italy, with Greece’s own desert rock legend Nightstalker as commanding officers. Balkan cosmonauts Temple of the Smoke (Serbia) and Sativa (Bulgaria) will proudly represent the space/kraut sound, while the rest of the crew features an impressive Greek mission: neo-psych acts Psychedelic Trips to Death, Whereswilder and Night Knight, heavy rockers Black Hat Bones and Instant Boner, post-metalers Stonebringer and Their Methlab and the blues brothers The Big Nose Attack.
